Sapphire Reserve® Exclusive Tables expanded again, but many restaurants removed

The Chase Sapphire Reserve® card includes twice-annual $150 credits for restaurant spending at Sapphire Reserve Exclusive Tables. These are a curated selection of high-end restaurants available through a special version of OpenTable. With the new Sapphire Reserve card, you do NOT need to make a reservation or pay through Chase or OpenTable in order to earn the $150 rebate every 6 months (from January through June and again from July through December). Simply use your card at one of the restaurants found on this platform.

Chase and OpenTable have again expanded the number of restaurants available for this benefit, and the changes are significant, with over 90 new outlets. Disappointingly, over sixty restaurants have been removed without notice. Las Vegas, San Diego, and Miami were particularly hard hit. In fact, only one of the previous nine available restaurants in Las Vegas is now eligible, and there were no new options added.

That’s really frustrating for anyone with an upcoming reservation, as I imagine you have no way of knowing whether your chosen restaurant is still eligible. We have updated this post with all the restaurants currently available and crossed out those that no longer appear on the list but did at the time of the previous publication.

Doctor of Credit has reported that Chase customer service reps told affected cardholders about a 60-day grace period for existing restaurant reservations that were recently removed. Chase has since confirmed it to Thrifty Traveler directly: “If you booked a reservation before a restaurant was removed from the program, you’re still eligible for the dining credit for up to 60 days after the removal.”
