Amex Platinum cardholders earn 5x Membership Rewards points on flights purchased directly with the airline or with AmexTravel.com (up to $500,000 per year), meaning they could earn a minimum of 10,000 points by meeting the $2,000 spend requirement.
Amex Offer: Spend $5,500, Earn 5,500 Delta SkyMiles
The second Amex Offer we’re seeing is based on card spending. After enrolling your card, you can earn 5,500 additional SkyMiles after spending at least $5,500 in 1 or more qualifying purchases within 90 days.
You can use this Amex Offer up to 3 times, which means $16,500 in card spend could equate into 16,500 bonus SkyMiles. All card spend must be in U.S. dollars.
