Surprise! U.S. Bank Enables Points Transfers to 4 Travel Partners
It’s been a long time coming, but U.S. Bank has finally added transfer partners. Anyone who holds a U.S. Bank Altitude® Reserve Visa Infinite® Card (no longer open to new applicants) can now transfer points to a handful of airline and hotel programs.
There’s a lot to cover here, so let’s get into it.
U.S. Bank Point Transfers Are Now Possible
As reported by Frequent Miler, it’s now possible for those with a U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card (now longer open to new applicants) to transfer the rewards points earned to any one of 4 new transfer partners:
- ALL – Accor Live Limitless
- Air France-KLM Flying Blue
- Ethiopian Airlines ShebaMiles
- Qantas Frequent Flyer
Points transfer to all 3 airline programs at a 1:1 ratio, while they transfer to ALL at 2:1, which means for every 2 points transferred from U.S. Bank, you’ll receive 1 ALL Reward point.
The timing of this new capability is certainly interesting. The U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card has been closed to new applicants for quite some time, though in December 2025, it received substantial changes. It was also around that time that the bank said points transfers would soon be available.
When that didn’t happen, many thought it likely never would, as the bank’s premier card offering remains unavailable to new applicants.
However, much to our surprise, points transfers are now available.
Notably, U.S. Bank now offers 1:1 transfers to all 3 major airline alliances, with Air France-KLM Flying Blue representing SkyTeam, Ethiopian Airlines ShebaMiles representing Star Alliance, and Qantas Frequent Flyer representing Oneworld.
While it’s not a tremendously popular program for U.S.-based travelers, 2:1 transfers to ALL can certainly be useful, especially when you consider that the card earns 3x points on mobile wallet purchases on the first $5,000 each billing cycle, then 1x afterward.
If you’re a U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve cardholder, log in to your account and navigate to the Rewards tab. From there, click the option labeled Rewards your way with loyalty rewards transfer. You’ll then be taken to a third-party site where you can connect your accounts and then transfer points.
Hot Tip:
If you have a U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card and have been considering closing your account, it may now be worth keeping it open thanks to these new transfer partners. Also, there’s a chance the bank may reopen the card — or release an entirely new product — now that it’s finally building out its rewards program.
Final Thoughts
U.S. Bank has added point-transfer capabilities for U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve cardholders — something we’ve been anticipating for a very long time. While there are just 4 programs available, all 3 airline alliances are represented, along with a major hotel chain.
Now, we wait to see what happens with the U.S. Bank Altitude Reserve card and hope that the bank will add even more partners to its roster in short order.
