Up to 35% / 25X back at TripAdvisor via Capital One Shopping
Today’s Capital One Shopping and Capital One Offers deal of the day is TripAdvisor. On the Capital One Shopping home page, I’m seeing 30% back. Within my Capital One credit card login, I’m seeing 25X miles. However, via email I received a targeted offer for 35% back at TripAdvisor. It is always worth keeping an eye out for targeted Capital One Shopping emails, as we do often see even more elevated rates within those emails. If you haven’t received an email from Capital One Shopping today, it is worth clicking around on any site in the browser where you have the extension installed in order to hopefully receive an email with an elevated offer for TripAdvisor.

Quick Thoughts
TripAdvisor sells a number of tours through the site, so this should make it possible to earn as much as 35% back on a range of tours and experiences. In the past, I’ve used elevated Capital One Shopping rates to book airport transfers through TripAdvisor, and I have successfully gotten the elevated percentage back (though keep in mind that tracking for travel-related offers can be wonky — as you can read in that post, my TripAdvisor purchases usually track as “ineligible” at first and only change to “pending” and “credited” after travel is completed).

That said, while today’s offer is very good, it isn’t the best we’ve seen. At times, we’ve seen the rate on TripAdvisor climb to 50%, 60%, or even 70% back, though that is usually on a targeted basis and only one or twice per year. Otherwise, getting 30% or 35% back via Capital One shopping, or 25 miles per dollar, can certainly be a terrific deal if you’re looking to book something that can be booked through TripAdvisor. I already booked an airport transfer for a trip to the Bahamas with the same company that I used a couple of years ago, thanks to a previous elevated rate. I also recently used an elevated rate for Klook to get tickets to the Arte Museum in Las Vegas, which is a sort of Team Labs-like interactive art experience. I haven’t checked whether tickets to that are available via TripAdvisor, but I tend to look for things like that that can’t be booked more cheaply elsewhere when I see these elevated rates.
